“Adjusting Program Priority for Better Performance”

You can improve the performance of a program buy adjusting the priority given to the program by your computers processor. To do this in Windows Xp, right click on your Start Bar at the bottom of your screen, and select Task Manager.

Once Task Manager is open, select the Processes tab. Locate the excusable file you want to adjust the priority for, right click, highlight Set Priority, and then select your priority level.

Choose Yes you are sure you want to change the priority class to complete the task. Then close out of the Task Manager.
