If your running Win 95,98, 98se or ME toss it and get a copy of Windows 2000. It rules, it's crash-proof, and manages memory like nobody's business! I installed it the following machine:

CPU: PentiumIII 650MHz
RAM: 256MB
Video: Voodoo 3500
HP 5300 Scanner
HP 722 Printer
Plextor 10/12/32a CDRW
Pioneer DVD
WD 13gig HHD
WD 20gig HHD
Network card for Road Runner
SoundBlaster Live!

Setup was no problem, very smooth, all hardware was detected. I did however update the video and scanner drivers.

I run programs like Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Excel/Word, Flash, FTP and a chat relay program ... at the same time with no problems whatsoever. I can't make it crash and I don't have to restart ever hour to free up memory.

No I don't work for Microsoft or own any stock. Do yourself a favor and check out Windows 2000.
