Review:
Unreal is a first person shooter game. The basic story is you are aboard a crashed prison transport ship. You don't know what planet you are on but as it turns out, once you find your way outside of the crashed transport, you find yourself on a beautiful planet but your aren't alone. Another alien species is there also and have enslaved the locals. Your goal is to find out what caused the crash and find your way off of the planet.
I loved the beautiful scenery and the background music is great. This is one of the most beautifully rendered 3D games I have ever seen. About the only thing I didn't like was how long it took to load up. I don't think I would try this on anything slower than a 200MMX. I installed this on my PB 233 MMX and I use a voodoo 3 2000 PCI video card and have 64 megs of memory. Most of the time my PC did just fine but a few scenes had it gasping for air.
From the opening bell this game is just awesome in it's graphics. My jaw dropped just watching the intro. I found the AI in this game just right. Not so hard that you pull your hair out trying to move on but at the same time, the bad guys don't just stand there and duke it out with you. I personally loved the background music and believe this game will be one of the all time best. Check it out!
